REJECTION SENSITIVITY DYSPHORIA (POEM)

 Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria

A condition so hard to bear

It can cause so much distress

And leave us feeling so scared

We feel misunderstood and unseen

It's hard to know what to do

We can feel so isolated

And so far from the truth

We try to hide our feelings

But we can't help but feel the pain

We can't help but feel the hurt

That comes with this condition again

We can be so sensitive

To the words and actions of others

We can feel so overwhelmed

By the thought of being rejected by our brothers

We can be so easily hurt

By the slightest of comments

We can feel like we don't belong

And that we don't fit in

We can be so anxious

And so full of dread

We can be so scared

Of being rejected instead

We can be so afraid

Of being left out or alone

We can be so desperate

For someone to call our own

But we must remember

That we are not alone

We can find strength and courage

To rise above and move on

We can learn to be resilient

And to accept ourselves as we are

We can learn to be more accepting

And to love ourselves from afar

Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria

Is something that we can overcome

We can find the courage

To be our own loving one
