O, how I wish to be in shadows,
For some time, away from sight.
Away from prying eyes and judgement,
Away from all that's not right.
I need to be in dark seclusion,
Where I can be myself.
Where I can find peace and solace,
And be free from all the wealth.
Where I can find some comfort,
From the world and all its strife.
Where I can escape the noise,
And find some inner life.
In the shadows I can find,
A safe place to hide.
Where I can be alone,
And not be judged inside.
In the shadows I can rest,
From the world and all its pain.
Where I can be free,
From the pressure and the strain.
Where I can be me,
And no one else can see.
Where I can find some peace,
At least for some time, in the shadows of me.
