There are many types of Negative Thoughts. For examples

  1. Thinking about bad events that happened in the past.
  2. Thinking about a recent comment from someone else. How one should have responded.
  3. Thinking about negative things that might happen in the future.
  4. Thinking about how people have made you feel bad or wronged you in the past. Also known as Resentment.  This is reliving the painful memory again and again. It is also about giving power to someone else.

The result of Negative thinking is really really bad. You know why? When we think about negative things, our mind slows down. Repeated negative thoughts, such as anger, resentment, fear, or depression, may cause our bodies to release the stress hormones cortisol and adrenaline. Over time, high levels of these hormones can contribute to mental health symptom.
